A 10-year workmanship warranty on every roof
We stand behind our work. If something we installed fails because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it.
Your roof is covered two ways
Our 10-year workmanship warranty
This is RC All Exteriors' own warranty, separate from the CertainTeed manufacturer warranty. It covers the installation itself: how the shingles, flashing, and vents were put on. If a problem traces back to our work within 10 years, we fix it. The warranty transfers one time if you sell the house.
The CertainTeed manufacturer warranty
CertainTeed covers the shingles and roofing materials against manufacturing defects. If you choose the extended warranty, we install the roof as a full CertainTeed Integrity Roof System, and it qualifies for SureStart PLUS 3-Star coverage: materials, labor, tear-off, and disposal for 50 years, an unlimited wind warranty, and a one-time transfer within 15 years. What this means in plain terms
- A leak caused by how we installed the roof: covered by us
- A defective shingle: covered by CertainTeed
- Damage from a storm, a fallen tree, or foot traffic: not a warranty issue. It's usually an insurance claim, and we can help with that
- Normal wear after decades of weather: not covered by either
A repair carries its own 60-day warranty on the area we repaired.
How to make a warranty claim
Call or email us.
(703) 677-1976 or Info@rcallexteriors.com. Tell us your address and what you're seeing.
We inspect.
We come out and find the cause.
We fix it.
If it's our workmanship, the repair is on us.
Keep your warranty paperwork with your house records. On a CertainTeed install you also receive the registered CertainTeed warranty paperwork, which we file for you.
Warranty questions
Yes, once. Our 10-year workmanship warranty transfers one time to the next owner. If your roof is registered for CertainTeed SureStart PLUS 3-Star coverage, that also transfers once within the first 15 years.
Yes, on the area we repaired, for 60 days. A repair fixes one spot on a roof that is otherwise aging at its own pace, so we can't cover the rest of the roof the way we do with a full replacement. If the roof is near the end of its life, we'll say so.
Many roof problems in the first years come from how the roof was installed, not from the shingles. A manufacturer warranty alone doesn't cover installation mistakes. That's why ours matters.
